EU settlement scheme

The University is committed to supporting the international staff and students who are such an important part of our global community. The People and OD Operations team is happy to assist and advise staff with concerns about the implications of the United Kingdom leaving the European Union, and help staff applying for the EU Settlement Scheme. 

Applying for the scheme

If you’re an EU, EEA (including EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) or Swiss citizen, to continue living in the UK after 30 June 2021, you and your family can apply to the EU Settlement Scheme. The scheme is currently in operation and the deadline is 30 June 2021.

  • If your application is successful, you’ll get either settled or pre-settled status
  • You may be able to stay in the UK without applying - for example, if you’re an Irish citizen or have indefinite leave to remain
  • If you’re unsure of your current status, or need further support, please contact the People and OD Operations team.
