Do you have a Blue Badge?

If the answer is yes then the university will issue you with a car parking permit free of charge so you can park close to your work area. To arrange this, please contact the Permit Office - you’ll need to supply a photocopy of your blue badge.

No blue badge?

If you don’t have a blue badge, but have difficulties related to your disability that mean parking is difficult or you have a long term medical condition that means it is difficult for you to walk long distances please contact us to discuss support.

DASS can help to assess if a parking space can be provided.

Applying for a blue badge?

If you are in the middle of applying for a blue badge, the car parking office may offer you a short term permit and can reimburse costs once you have a blue badge of your own.

Travel to Work

It is possible for members of staff who are unable to use public transport or their own car to get taxis to work through the Access to Work scheme.
