GA4 and LookerStudio
Google Analytics is a free web analytics tool that is used on many University sites to track and report website traffic.
Following the phasing out of Universal Analytics, most University websites have now transitioned to the new version of Google Analytics, known as GA4. It is important that all website owners who wish to continue tracking traffic data to their sites switch to GA4 as soon as possible.
Access to the GA4 accounts for the central University site and StaffNet is currently restricted. Instead, we offer dashboards in LookerStudio which provide a user-friendly interface for viewing and analysing traffic data.
Standard dashboards include metrics such as number of views, number of total and new users, number of sessions, traffic by type of device, traffic sources, most popular pages etc.

If you would like a LookerStudio dashboard for sections/pages of the University site or StaffNet microsites please contact milena.cimmarrusti@manchester.ac.uk.
