Accessibility training

As part of our University-wide initiative to enhance accessibility, the IT Services Directorate and the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Directorate have purchased role-based accessibility training from AbilityNet, a leading provider of accessibility services. By accessing their training programs, we are promoting digital inclusivity and ensuring compliance with UK accessibility standards. This training reinforces our commitment to improving accessibility and maintaining best practices across our digital platforms.

This training is available for University of Manchester Staff and Students.

Video training

The video training is roles-based and gives each member of our digital teams the insights and skills they need to embed accessibility in their role from the start.

Videos are hosted on The University's video streaming platform and include captions.

You will need to login to the video streaming service to view the training.

PowerPoint slideshows require access to Microsoft 365 or a local installation of PowerPoint. To open the slideshows in another application, download the slideshow.
