Wine Club est. 1974

The University of Manchester’s Wine Club was founded in 1974 and has met ever since. Members come from all parts of the University and membership is open to any staff member, including those who are retired.

Our meetings

We currently meet twice a year for a themed tasting dinner in Christies but are looking to increase the number of tastings if possible. Our meetings are informal and are known for both their expert choices and for being great fun and highly sociable. Examples of past tastings are South African wines and wine from countries in the EUROs 2024. 

How to join

There is no membership fee. We just pay for the wines and food.
