Service Learning toolkit
Welcome to the Faculty's Service Learning (SL) toolkit. SL is a teaching and learning approach that combines academic study with community service. Through SL we produce skilled, knowledgeable and employable graduates, that serve and help to strengthen our local communities, where so much of our work has an impact.
SL within the Faculty allows students to engage with, educate and deliver essential healthcare to communities - strengthening the University and community partnerships, whilst enhancing the student’s own employability and development.
These pages have information, guidance and resources to support you with your SL initiatives either as a member of staff, student or a community partner.
Watch the short film below to find out about SL in our pharmacy and dentistry programmes, and how our students are inspiring future generations and improving patient care.
