Academic Staff Development Programme
The Academic Staff Development Programme ensures that all those contributing to Faculty programmes can engage with sound pedagogy and share best practice in teaching, learning and student experience. It provides training and development opportunities to support you through the different stages of your academic career.
Everything we do is informed by our ethos, which includes ‘transformative teaching and learning’, ‘co-creation’ and creating a ‘community of practice’. Our aim is to ensure that the drive towards excellent teaching and learning within the Faculty and the wider University is enhanced; seeking to support the development of effective teaching and learning strategies whatever the modality.

Supervisor Recognition
The UK Council for Graduate Education (UKCGE), the independent representative body for postgraduate education in the UK, has recently launched a Research Supervision Recognition Programme. This is a professional development toolkit which includes the sector approved good supervisory practice framework and offers a route to recognition, specifically for research supervision. Becoming a UKCGE Recognised Research Supervisor, demonstrates to your university, peers and candidates that your supervisory practice has been recognised by a national body.
