Welcome to RBSS

I would like to warmly welcome you to the Research, PGR and Business Support Services (RBSS) Team. These staff induction pages have been brought together by RBSS team members with the aim of focussing on areas they consider would be most supportive during the first few days in your new role and also in general day-to-day work as you develop.

The Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health is one of the largest of its kind in Europe and the RBSS function is empowered to offer the highest level of research support to all staff across the Faculty. This is undoubtedly an exciting challenge and one which all our team members embrace positively.

Our function comprises five operational teams who integrate closely with each other:

• Research Support Services Delivery Team (RSS) 
• Strategic Funding Team 
• Research Governance, Policy, REF and Impact Team 
• Business Engagement 
• Doctoral Academy

I strongly encourage you to explore these induction pages to learn about the remit of each team, the wider Faculty structure and other key areas of information. It will also be important for you to get out and about to introduce yourself to colleagues across the function and more widely.
