Printing

The large HP shared printers in the biomedical corridor buildings can be accessed through iPrint or Line Printer Remote depending on your operating system.

Your computer must be connected via a network cable or if you are using wireless you must also use a VPN connection.

You can request your computer to be connected to the wired network. If you would like this, please complete the network access form.

Important: If you have pop-up blocker software enabled in your web browser you will need to disable this to view the infomation in the links below.

Windows 7

IT Services deployed Windows 7 PCs should connect to the printer queues when the links are clicked.
Please use Internet Explorer or Firefox to install these printers to allow the iPrint download to take place. This will not work with Chrome browser.

Mac and Linux

As iPrint can only transact with one version of OSX or OS Linux per printer, we recommend not using iPrint for Mac and Linux connections, but instead configuring these directly using Line Printer Remote/Daemon (LPR/LPD) protocols.
Instructions for Mac OSX can be found here and for Ubuntu here.
Click the link to the required printer below and a link for Mac/Linux connections will be displayed, then click that link to show the correct server, queue and printer models to use in the LPR/D procedure.
