Outside University closure periods, the Advice and Response Team will have individuals available on almost every working day. The Team operates in a flexible, hybrid way, meaning that individuals may work on campus or be available online. Though immediate replies to emails may not always be possible, the Team aims to respond to queries within 24-48 hours. Individuals from the Team can be contacted over email and are generally happy to meet with students (ideally with pre-planned appointments) both in-person and online.
If individuals are invited to a face-to-face meeting, it is likely to take place in Crawford House, which is the main student facing office space. We do not usually offer drop-in or walk-in appointments and so a student, or a staff member on their behalf, should contact the Advice & Response team in advance to book an appointment.
Crawford House
Crawford House can be found on the corner of Booth Street East and Oxford Road. The entrance is at street level via the Central & West Entrance on Booth Street East. Once inside the building, the offices are on the 4th floor, through the door on the right (opposite the Occupation Health Service).
To reach Crawford House from Manchester Oxford Road Station, visitors can exit the station and walk onto Oxford Road. From there, visitors should walk directly up Oxford Road, past MMU until they can see two purple "University of Manchester" banners. The building on the left is Crawford House.
If visitors are coming across campus to the building, the University has an interactive map which can be used to look up where each building is.
The interactive map can be accessed by clicking here.
University Place
The Conduct and Discipline Team and Student Support and Wellbeing Team, work from offices on the third floor of University Place. Their offices are less student-facing.
University Place is located on Oxford Road and is a grey, round, drum, shaped building. University Place can be found using the interactive map above.
