Appointment of Interim Director of The Whitworth

Nick Merriman has been appointed as Interim Director of The Whitworth

Nick is currently the Director of Manchester Museum and will retain this role, heading up the Joint Leadership Team of The Whitworth and Manchester Museum, so line management arrangements in both areas will be unaffected.

Nick will take up the role on 1 June, when Maria Balshaw, current Director of the Whitworth, begins her role as Director of Tate. Nick will act as Interim Director until a successor has been appointed.
