10,000 Actions

The University’s environmental sustainability challenge 10,000 Actions has four more tweets up for grabs to be illustrated by local artist Hammo.

Hammo (Nick Hamilton) is a freelance illustrator and mural painter based in Manchester, whose distinctive work can be seen in various offices, bars and public spaces across the city and his clients include everyone from K Swiss to Greggs.

He is illustrating tweets for our 10,000 Actions campaign, which gives all staff the opportunity to engage in collective, measurable action on environmental sustainability – and win funding for their ideas.

Our online interactive tool helps colleagues to learn about the key issues of sustainability such as travel, responsible purchasing and energy, and the actions they can take to make a big difference.

It now has a link to apply for funding for ideas big or small – from birdseed supplies and pedometers to a feasibility study to change lab equipment – up to a maximum of £2,500.

This is the sort of thing you can have on your feed, should your tweet be chosen by Hammo:
