The Centre for Higher Education Research, Innovation and Learning (CHERIL) Grant Award now open

The Centre for Higher Education Research, Innovation and Learning (CHERIL) Grant Award – a competitive research grant open to University of Manchester staff – is now open.

The grant funds research into aspects of teaching, learning and assessment, which enhance teaching and the student experience here at University.

Application for the grant closes at noon on Monday, 30 April 2018.

CHERIL usually awards between ten and 14 grants per academic year, up to £20,000 (although smaller grants are more usually awarded).

Bids in excess of £20,000 will be considered but will need to include a detailed breakdown of funding requirements, and will be subject to additional scrutiny.

Successful applications will be notified by the end of May 2018 with a view to projects beginning in September 2018.
