RAG Week is coming! (That’s Raise and Give) From the Monday 27th Feb – Friday 3rd March, the students of Manchester RAG will be organising events across campus raising money for a variety of charities and good causes.

Staff are invited to take part in the RAG Week Purple Pig Challenge, which this year will raise funds for the Equity and Merit scholarship programme at the University.

Equity and Merit is a programme which brings exceptional students from Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania to Manchester to study for a Master’s level qualification. The students have the desire and a plan to benefit their home countries, aided by the skills they can learn at Manchester. Watch Felix’s story to see the impact an Equity and Merit scholarship can have on these students and their communities:

To take part in the Purple Pig Challenge, pick up your piggy bank on Monday 27th Feb, fill it with spare change during the week, getting your colleagues to help, and drop it back on Friday – there will be prizes for the most money collected.

Last year, the Purple Pig Challenge raised £266.94 for the Student Hardship Fund. This included a fantastic coffee morning held by the EPS Faculty Office on North Campus.
