IT Services colleague raises money for award-winning charity against male suicide

Helena Edwardson

Helena Edwardson, one of our IT Services training officers, runs the Wigan 10K and each year she chooses a different charity close to her heart.

This year, on Sunday, 3 September she's running for CALM – the Campaign Against Living Miserably.  CALM is an award-winning charity dedicated to preventing male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.  In 2015 75% of all UK suicides were men.

CALM is a campaign for all men, not just 'service users'.  All of us, at one time or another and regardless of gender can hit a crisis and so we could all do with support when things get tough!
