InStitches autumn sale for charity

26 Oct 2018

Help us raise funds for Wood Street Mission and Manchester Foodbank

InStitches

InStitches, the University knitting and stitching group, will be holding their first charity sale of the year on Wednesday, 31 October from noon to 2pm in the foyer of University Place.  Proceeds from the sale will be split between Wood Street Mission and Manchester Foodbank.

As in previous years, we will be selling a variety of handmade items, donated by members of the group.  This includes scarves and hats for adults and children, baby bootees, bags, cushions and stuffed 'characters' such as unicorns and dogs.

There will also be a raffle for an octopus - tickets cost £1 each.  The raffle will be drawn after our winter sale which will be held on 5 December in the Chemistry Building.  If you can't make the sale, raffle tickets are also available from Diane Bennett.

In the past we've raised around £1,000 a year from the two sales and the raffle and we hope to be able to do the same again this year.

And if you'd like to learn more about the group, or have a preview of items for sale, please come along to the Staff Wellbeing Fair on Tuesday, 30 October where InStitches will have a stall promoting the benefits of craft.
