Dr Julian Skyrme is awarded UK Director of the Year by the Institute of Directors

Dr Julian Skyrme, Director of Social Responsibility, has received the UK’s ‘Director of the Year Award for Corporate Social Responsibility’ at the Institute of Directors awards.

The award recognises leaders across the UK with a strong sense of responsibility and consideration as a corporate citizen and follows on from Julian’s success in winning the regional North West category in May.

Commenting on the award Dr Skyrme said: “It was very satisfying to see the University’s name up on stage in front of so many influential people and organisations - we were the only University to win all evening. 

“This was a great endorsement for the University, our vision for Social Responsibility and the many colleagues who form part of the agenda.”
