New training workshop on flexible working policy

08 Aug 2018

A 90-minute session is available for managers to learn more about flexible working legislation, and how to manage requests

Flexible working

Flexible working is increasingly becoming an important issue for our staff and job applicants. More and more people want to work flexibly for all sorts of reasons.  Offering flexible working can be a key driver for employee engagement, talent attraction and staff retention.  It can also contribute to enhanced staff wellbeing.

As an organisation, we need to ensure that we meet our legal requirements in respect of flexible working, manage requests fairly and reasonably, and offer flexible working in line with operational requirements.

To support this, we are pleased to confirm our new workshop for managers.  In 90 minutes, you will gain an overview of the relevant legislation and how to manage requests for flexible working, including assessing whether or not flexible working is feasible.  We will also look at how to make flexible work in practice, and provide you with practical tips and solutions.

Alternatively, if you would like to organise a bespoke session for your department or team, please contact Gemma Dale, Human Resources Policy and Engagement Manager.
