How will our Student Lifecycle Project improve graduation?

20 Jul 2018

As graduation draws to a close for another year, the Student Lifecycle Project is already looking at ways to improve it

Graduation is an unforgettable experience where students come together with their guests, academics and PSS colleagues, to celebrate their hard work and achievements. It creates lasting memories for all of those involved.

Although satisfaction with graduation is high overall, during the early stages of the Student Lifecycle Project (SLP) both students and staff provided feedback on specific areas where improvements could be made. For example, students told the SLP team that they’d like to have the date of their graduation confirmed much earlier than at present and PSS colleagues said that it was difficult to track which staff would be taking part in a ceremony.

So, as part of the SLP’s Design and Discovery stage, colleagues collaborated through a series of interactive workshops to redesign and improve the process that deliver graduation. The SLP team has released an infographic summarising these improvements.
