Use of water and hosepipes at the University

The University is reducing how it uses water to maintain our green spaces

University campus

The hot weather means we are seeing a massive increase in water consumption across the North West.

To ensure we are being considerate of the United Utilities request to conserve water, the University is reducing how it uses water to maintain our green spaces.

We are watering plants, trees and newly laid lawns to ensure their survival but we are not watering existing grass and lawns as these will grow back.

If you have any queries, please contact Paul Shaw, Environmental Services Deputy Manager.
