Strike action by Arriva North West and Northern Rail

Disruption to services on Thursday, 24 and Saturday, 26 May
The RMT trade union is currently in dispute with Northern (Arriva Rail North) over proposed changes to the role of the conductor.
Its members are taking industrial action on Thursday, 24 and Saturday, 26 May, which is expected to cause significant disruption to rail services provided by operator Northern Rail.
A number of Northern services are expected to not run and any that do operate, working to a revised timetable, will be extremely busy.
There will be no Northern trains before 7am or after 7pm.
