Celebrate International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia

16 May 2018

On Thursday, 17 May we will once again celebrate IDAHOBIT with activities throughout the day

IDAHOBIT 2018

We’ll be ‘flying’ the rainbow flag on our large screen on the Alan Gilbert Learning Commons – please tweet your best pictures showing your support for the day using #IDAHOBIT2018

In the evening we are hosting an exhibition followed by a film screening of ‘Out and Around’ at St Peter’s Chaplaincy.  Join us for some light refreshments as you take a look at a special exhibition which looks at 30 years of Community Activism in Manchester. This will be introduced by, and will include a short Q&A Session, with the curator of the exhibition.

The event is free, but reserving a ticket is essential so we can provide refreshments.

IDAHOBIT also gives you the opportunity to become an ally to the staff network group. Allies are staff members who do not identify as LGBT themselves, but and who believe that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people should experience full equality in the workplace’

We already have a number of allies on campus, but are always looking to expand our numbers. You can find out more at:
