A cohort of first year students attended a two day Insight event at KPMG offices in Manchester

KPMG Manchester Access Programme

Over twenty undergraduate students attended a two day event at KPMG’s state of the art Manchester offices at One St Peter’s Square in June.

The programme allowed students to gain a real insight into the organisation and find out what life is really like at one of the UK’s leading corporate firms and demystify the demands of the corporate world.

KPMG provides a range of professional services, including audit, tax and advisory specialisms. With over 12,000 partners and staff working in more than 20 offices, the organisation has a close working relationship with the University.

The event is part of a programme of activities developed by the University’s Widening Participation and Careers teams in partnership with KPMG to raise awareness of careers within professional services and develop students’ employability skills and experience.

The programme is aimed at Manchester Access Programme students, an initiative which supports talented students in Greater Manchester from backgrounds currently under-represented in higher education.
