Research beacons campaign and Stellify honoured in education marketing awards

The University of Manchester

The University has scooped two Silvers in the Heist Awards, which celebrate the excellence and innovation of everyone involved in education marketing, from regional colleges to global university brands.

More than 90 institutions entered their work in what was the awards’ 27th year.

Our research beacons campaign took the Silver in the Best Marketing Initiative to Promote Research Excellence category.

The judges said: “'The University of Manchester evidence a strong approach to presenting a clear message in a research-led institution. This well-executed campaign supports a clear university direction.'”

Our Stellify campaign – to enable students to do more and be more during their time at university, with activities containing some of Manchester’s most exciting and transformational student experiences and the chance to earn a prestigious University award – took the Silver in the Best Innovation In Education Marketing category.

The judges said: “'The University of Manchester should be applauded for the uniqueness of this campaign. This is genuinely innovative in UK higher education. By putting social responsibility at the heart of its strategic goals, The University of Manchester will continue to see success in making a difference for its students.”

Director of Communications and Marketing Terry Hudghton said: "Well done to both of our teams - up against some very strong competition, they did the University proud. The judges' comments were very pleasing to read and showed how talented our colleagues are."
