How to obtain a staff ID card

Before you start work you need to visit HR Services to complete all the necessary documentation and employment checks. HR Services will set you up on the payroll system and issue you with a staff card.

You will be asked for proof of your identity. A copy of your identity documents will be kept for legal and security requirements and filed in accordance with the University's retention of documents policy.

Your staff card is for proof of identification and you are required to carry this with you at all times whilst on campus. You will need this:

  • to access buildings and car parks
  • to access and use the library facilities
  • to obtain your email account
  • for security purposes

The on-line instructions will take you through this process:
