Social media

Social media is an important marketing and engagement tool.

The University and the Faculty use social media to:

  • inform, entertain and engage with our wide range of stakeholders (prospective students, current students, alumni, our local community, research partners, etc)
  • advertise to highly segmented audiences (eg targeted campaigns for PGT recruitment)

We have a high level of expertise in both these areas and will provide professional advice, support and guidance. We are also happy to hear from you if you just fancy finding out how social media could help you.

If you run, or are thinking of setting up, a social media account on behalf of your area please get in touch with us.

The importance of social media

Social media has transformed how people, companies and other organisations communicate and interact.

It allows people to share content to their audience, and for that audience to react and feedback on that content immediately.

Social media is truly an international medium, with the top five social networks around the world having more than 5.1 billion accounts.
